How to Top Up Your Wristband at #EatDrinkFestival

#EatDrinkFestival is a “cashless” festival. When you check-in at the festival, we give you wristband with an RFID chip on it. This chip contains a unique identifier that is connected to your ticket. With it, we can store and transmit data wirelessly to an RFID readers given to the vendors and any tix.africa staff member.

At the festival, the wristbands help us streamline transactions and access control. Attendees can load money onto the wristband and use it to make purchases at vendors by simply scanning the wristband at the point-of-sale terminal.

How to Top Up a Wristband

Before the Festival

The only way to load funds onto the wristband before the event is through the festival portal at http://eatdrink22.festivalco.in/. Here is the process to follow:

  1. After purchasing your ticket, go to the festival portal at http://eatdrink22.festivalco.in/.

  2. If you already have an account, log in using your username and password. If you do not have an account, click the "Create an Account" button and follow the prompts to create a new account.

  3. Claim your ticket using your ticket number; it is below the QR code in the attached ticket.

  4. Once you are logged in, look for the option to load funds onto your RFID wristband. This may be in the form of a "Top Up" or "Add Funds" button.

  5. Follow the prompts to enter your payment information and load the desired amount of funds onto your wristband.

During the Festival

There are generally two ways to load funds onto the wristband during the event:

  1. Online: If you already topped up before the festival, you can top up again with the portal. If didn’t top up before the festival, you’ll need to visit the festival portal and create a profile. You’ll need the code behind the chip on the wristband to create your profile.

  2. At a top-up station: At designated top-up stations, you can load funds onto your wristband. This is done by scanning the wristband at the kiosk and making a payment to the event staff.
