International Women’s Day 2023: 5 Restaurants Offering IWD Specials
Ladies, International Women’s Day is upon us again! There’s lots to do, watch and post about our collective effort to #EmbraceEquity, but it’s also a pretty great day to have some quality, much-needed girl time.
Weirdly, it feels like the Lagos recreation scene tends to sorta ignore the day — or maybe they just don’t know when it is 🤔 — but we did find a handful of restaurants with slightly more special offerings to celebrate the day.

1. Paradis Lagos
where: 4th floor, Westbrook Mall by Dillon, Lekki
Singers in the house, fall out! Paradis Lagos dey for you.
They’re hosting a karaoke face-off for women, and the winner takes home a N50000 voucher to spend at the restaurant, while the first runner-up gets a N30000 voucher. I can’t sing to save my life, but for a 50k voucher? I will be there.
Also, there are free drinks for the first 10 ladies. It starts at 8PM, so turn up early!
2. Gaby Lagos
where: 6A Agoro Odiyan, Victoria Island
If you’re in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine, good drinks, games and music, Gaby Lagos might just be the place for you.
They’re offering a 20% discount on selected wines between 6PM – 7 PM. There will also be menu items specially curated for the day and a (female) DJ set to liven the mood. If this all sounds good, don’t forget to make a reservation beforehand.
3. Gusto
where: 256 Etim Inyang Crescent, Victoria Island
Free drinks? Yes, please!
At Gusto tonight, you’ll get a complimentary cocktail or mocktail with your meal — so no, you can’t just get the free drink and leave 😂 Still a good deal though, in my opinion, because we’ve established cocktail prices are wild.

4. Hard Rock Café
where: Landmark Village, Water Corporation Road, Oniru, Victoria island
IWD is a great opportunity to support female-owned/run businesses and you get the chance to do at Hard Rock’s pop-up event for female entrepreneurs, this year.
PLUS, they’re promising free cocktails, courtesy of their Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal. The event starts at 1PM — assuming there’s no African time situation — so pop in during your lunch break and do a little shopping.
5. 355 Restaurant & Lounge
where: Water Corporation Road, Oniru, victoria island
355 is giving out a 15% discount on all meals in their special IWD three-course menu — including everything from steak to Agege French toast.
There’s also the opportunity to play games and meet new people, so YAY.
