Izanagi

Where: 19B Idejo St, Victoria Island

When it comes to Japanese cuisine in Lagos, Izanagi is the place to beat. If you’re on the hunt for authentic sushi, and have some room in your budget, this is your go-to spot.

Orchid House

Where: 25b Gafar Animashaun St, Victoria Island

No shade to Thai Thai, but Orchid House has the best Thai in all of Lagos. Not even close. The service can be dodgy, but the food is worth it.

Sherlaton

Where: 1230E Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island

This is dodgiest but most delicious Indian food you’re going to eat in Lagos. It’s super cheap and also open late. Don’t come here for any instagram pictures. Com here to eat.

Thai Thai

Where: 16 Kofo Abayomi St, Victoria Island

Everything Orchid House lacks in finesse, Thai Thai packs in abundance. The food is up there too and the space is the cosiest thing.

Shiro

Where:  Landmark Centre, Water Corporation Road, Victoria Island

Asides making an appearance in high budget Nollywood flicks, Shiro also serves up some pretty good Asian fusion. But, more importantly, there isn’t an Asian spot in Lagos that has a dim sum menu as extensive as Shiro’s

Zen Garden

Where: 60 Isaac John St, Ikeja GRA

For an authentic Chinese dining experience in Lagos, Zen Garden is the perfect place to start. Come armed with your wallet though.

Sushiholic

Where: 28 Admiralty Way, Lekki I, Lagos

Lekki never gets good things, but it lucked out with Sushiholic. If you’re looking for decent sushi that won’t wreck your pockets, Sushiholic is a good start.

Hua Han

Where: 45c Sobo Arobiodu St, Ikeja GRA

Hua Han is probably one of the few places in Lagos where you’ll find real Korean BBQ. They’ve got a decent selection of protein, and you can even have a photoshoot after your meal.

Gypsy’s

Where: 34a Gbolade Adebanjo St, Ilupeju

Gypsy’s is an understated spot with Chinese and Indian Menus. The food is rather homely, and the portions are suspiciously generous.

Koi

Where:  3 Babatunde Jose St, Victoria Island

Launched just as Lagos went into the lockdown, Koi is the new IT restaurant in the city. It’s standard Japanese fare and the space is probably one of Lagos’ nicer ones. Make sure you make a reservation and don’t come dressed in shorts lol.
