Kewa’s Kitchen Has an Epic Menu Planned For Our Bottomless Brunch

Our bottomless brunch is only 8 days away 🥳🥳 Not sure what we’re on about? Here’s everything you need to know.

As with all our events, we’re excited, but particularly about this one because it’s truly bottomless — and there’s no cap on what you can eat and drink (although we all booze should be consumed in moderation 👀).

In our excitement, we caught up with Feyikewa Animashaun of Kewa’s Kitchen, our amazing partners on this, to chat about everything from the inspiration behind the menu, to practical tips for the day itself.

Read on!

For you, what makes brunch brunch?

For me, brunch is a combination of things. It’s the people, the food and the atmosphere. It’s not just a meal — there’s a sense of celebration that comes with it. Brunch is that perfect sweet spot between breakfast and lunch where you can relax, grab a drink, see friends and catch up on the events of the week.

It is also the only time drinking is encouraged in the morning! I really enjoy the idea of responsible day drinking. Mimosas, company and good food make one hell of a combination right?

How did you decide on the menu?

I really wanted to celebrate brunch classics on the menu and have a nice mix of savoury and sweet items. I so wanted to put a twist on some classics; so, for example, instead of just regular steak and eggs, we have steak and eggs bao on the menu.

I wanted to keep it fun but appeal to as many taste buds as possible. We also worked closely with our alcohol partners for the event to carefully pair each meal. Really exciting.

What’s the yummiest item on there?

I’m currently obsessed with the Steak & Eggs breakfast Bao, and of course the Loaded Fries. Like OBSESSED. I won’t say too much so you can make your mind up for yourself.

What makes EatDrinkLagos the perfect partner?

Naturally, EatDrinkLagos is an easy choice because we have worked together on other pop-ups and events. So, what I think makes them the perfect partner is how easy the working relationship is and the support I receive. Our visions and goals seem to always align and from the moment I mention an idea, the brand always supports me in making it a reality. The G.O.A.Ts for real.

Ed Note: You know this 😎

Tell us something you’re most looking forward to.

I am really looking forward to the pairing experience and watching out guests let their hair down after a stressful Lagos week. As I said before, we’ve selected wines that will be paired with each meal. You usually only enjoy that type of experience in a super formal setting, however, we’re inviting you to come and spend time with us, with good food, wine, music and company in a super fun, informal way.

What makes this event worth attending?

It’s an experience we haven’t really seen in Lagos before. We’re celebrating good food, music and in an informal and it’s all happening before 8pm. Personally for me? Sign me up immediately! You get to have an amazing experience and still make evening plans if you wish.

Any tips for the day?

1) Wear loose clothes

2) Come hungry

3) Try everything on the menu

4) Drink responsibly!
