Lagos Cocktail Week is Back!

We found out about Lagos Cocktail Week (LCW) a couple of years ago when we got invited to be judges in the their Bar Battle. It’s grown a bit since then and in a couple weeks, the fifth edition will take place.

(“Take place” sounds like such a weird Nigerianism, eww)

From Oct. 16 to Oct. 18, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos Cocktail Week will bring drink brands and cocktail enthusiasts together to celebrate the cocktail culture in Lagos. Highlights will include panels from local experts and the 2018 Bar Battle.

…the 2018 edition of the conference will also mark the commencement of the LCW2018 Awards, which serves as a platform for the celebration and promotion of the cocktail culture in Nigeria and recognition of outstanding achievers in the industry. This is in line with our mission which has always been for the cocktail industry at to be recognized as an essential part of the Nigerian beverage industry.

To kick things off, there’ll be bar crawl on Oct. 4. The Bar Crawl will move across five of the participating LCW bars and each bar will be serving a specialty cocktail made for LCW.

…the LCW2018 is looking to take things a notch higher in 2018. We are engaging other leading international brands and individuals to make it bigger than ever. Our theme this year is ‘vintage, fresh, original,’ which is meant to depict the evolution of the drinks and cocktail industry in Nigeria.

The 2018 edition of the Lagos Cocktail Week is supported by Fayrouz, Ketel One, Tanqueray 10, Johnnie Walker, Sky Vodka, Belvedere Vodka, Glenmorangie, American Honey and official travel partners, Wontra Travels.
