EDL Weekender: A New Playlist, a New Toastie, and Our Favorite Cocktail

Another weekend is here. Whoop! In case you missed it, our big reviews this week:

...the Bánh Mì at Thai Thai is as good as you’ll find anywhere in Lagos. Well, it’s the only one, but you get my drift. It’s as authentic as it gets.
— Nosa
The quesadilla let me down plenty because of the processed cheese. The owner should get better cheese and slightly increase the prices - we won’t die.
— Folly

This weekend's playlist is a bit of everything. Can't really explain it, you just have to listen.

EAT: Ram Toastie @ Toasties

This was supposed to be a one off for Sallah, but I think it did numbers so it's on the menu permanently. You should try it this weekend because Nosa loved it.

DRINK: Lagosians @ NOK

Cointreau + brandy + strawberry + lime = heaven in a glass

LAGOS: Omo Odo

A boy sojourns from his ancient home to a land of supposed freedom, luxury, and beauty. Bided an uncertain farewell by his aged mother, whether she is happy or not, he must go through life’s fire to become a man. Maybe he works as a tailor or a carpenter, as long as he comes back home to build corrugated iron over her head and save them from the doom of rotting in the village. In the city, Omo Odo encounters all and sundry that is supposed of a cosmopolitan town, but finally finds himself in a small family and with the Dog as his only friend, his stay was made not only by the teacher whose teaching and tutoring built and formed him but also from his Cherub, Omolabake, the daughter of the family. Omo Odo the untutored who later rose to the position of a Tutor shows an example of how ironical life can be sometimes. The Play has an awesome blend of music, poetry, dance, movement and philosophy. Hilarious to the open-minded and philosophical to the light hearted

EMEKA: Get some theater in your life this weekend. Plus, the amphitheater in Freedom Park is a wonderful space to enjoy a show and chill outside. Anyone that was there when Afropolitan Vibes started knows how great the vibes are in this space.
